Today, everyone is talking about how AI may reduce job opportunities. I believe that jobs may change rather than simply disappear. Technology has replaced certain tasks in the past, but at the same time, it has created entirely new kinds of work. When computers were first introduced, many people worried that computers would replace their jobs. Instead, computers created many new career opportunities that did not exist before.
I think AI may reduce the number of people needed for certain jobs, and it may take some time for people to adapt to these changes. For example, in the past, a hospital, school, or business might have needed three or four people to perform certain administrative tasks. With the help of AI, the same work might eventually be done by fewer people. However, I don’t think AI can completely replace people, especially in places such as hospitals and schools. Patients and children still need human care, communication, understanding, and personal interaction.
I also think students should start learning about AI while they are still in high school. We should explore different AI tools, understand how they are being used in the real world, and pay attention to what skills employers may need in the future. I don’t know exactly how much of an advantage someone who understands AI will have over someone who doesn’t, but I believe that knowing how to use AI effectively will add value to our skills and eventually to our resumes.
AI is still developing, so we will understand its full impact much better in the coming years. Instead of being afraid of the changes it may bring, we should be prepared to learn and adapt. Technology will continue to change, and the skills needed for future jobs will change with it.
